For those who are unacquainted, the story is of Sophie and her mother one fine afternoon when a hungry tiger knocks on their door and asks to join them for tea.
The outwardly simple story comes to life with singing and dancing and teaches values such as charity and kindness. Young ones from age 3 and up are sure to enjoy the rich performances of the international cast. Last but certainly not least, and I’m personally super excited about this one as my son and I just recently watched the 80s movie version – Matilda the Musical comes to town in November! This multi-award-winning show is based on the Roald Dahl novel of the same name and tells the fantastic tale of a wondrous little girl who is mistreated by her family and finds solace in a kind teacher at a school run by a horrible principal. This musical treat is brought to us by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has clinched a multitude of accolades and awards including Best Musical. After touring over 91 cities, it is back in Beijing!
